High school football makes up much of the local Friday schedule as the season begins for most schools in Arkansas and Missouri, and Mountain Home will get to start the year in front of the home crowd. The Bombers’ campaign begins by welcoming Nettleton in from Jonesboro.
Mountain Home is not only coming off their second consecutive postseason, but it was also their second straight trip to the quarterfinals. The Bombers ended up 4-8 last year after falling at Greenwood in the Class 6A State Playoffs.
Mountain Home is going up against a Nettleton team that looks different this year. Bombers’ head coach Steve Ary says the Raiders have a lot of youth on their team.
