There’s an old saying about football that says the game is won in the trenches. That proved true Friday night as the Harrison offensive line put together a dominating performance to lead the Goblins to a 20-7 win over Mountain Home. It was the 10th consecutive victory for Harrison over the Bombers.

Harrison used some big holes opened by the line to rush for 281 yards on the night, 181 of them by Braden Long.

The Goblins scored on their first two possessions. Beck Jones got into the endzone from four yards out and Mason Ketterman hit Caden Hinson with a 10 yard touchdown pass.

The score stayed that way until the fourth quarter when the Goblins put together a very impressive drive, going 80 yards in 18 plays that took 9:48 off the clock. Long capped the drive with a one yard touchdown plunge.

Mountain Home would get on the scoreboard late when Cade Yates came in the game at quarterback and led Mountain Home on a seven play, 81 yard drive, hooking up with Talon Palmer for a 29 yard touchdown strike.

Mountain Home had mustered only four first downs and 98 yards of offense prior to the final drive.

The Bombers drop to 0-2 on the season and will make the trip to Greenwood to open 6A West Conference play next week. The Goblins are now 2-0 and will travel to Batesville next Friday.
