MHJH volleyball teams sweep all 3 matches at West Memphis Wonder

The Mountain Home Junior High volleyball teams swept all three matches at West Memphis Wonder Monday night.

Mountain Home cruised to a 2-0 victory in the junior high varsity match by scores of 25-8 and 25-9. The Junior Lady Bombers are now 10-5 overall and 6-1 in conference play.

Aspen Vostatek finished with five aces, three kills and six assists; Cara Jackson had two aces, three kills and five assists; Daelyn Harper had five digs, three kills and one ace; Lauren Rauls finished with six digs and one ace; and Kendra Medley had five kills.

In the junior high J.V. match, Mountain Home downed Wonder by scores of 25-13 and 25-3 to push their record to 6-3.

Bailey Byrd had three aces and five assists, Addie Dewey served 10 aces, Ava Jones served six aces, Kenna Medley had two aces and three kills and Ella Belt added three kills.

Mountain Home won the 7th grade match 2-0 to improve to 5-7 on the season. Mountain Home won by scores of 25-10 and 29-27.

The Mountain Home 7th and 8th grade teams return to action Tuesday at Highland. The junior high varsity won’t play again until the Brookland Tournament Saturday.
