Calico Rock Schools are hosting a family and community night Wednesday from 5 to 8 at the Calico Rock Elementary Auditorium. The event will feature topics to help safeguard your family with cyber security, human trafficking awareness and mental health.
Speakers for the event include Mike Mason presenting information about safeguarding children online with cyber security. Jana Cowgill from into the light will continue with cyber safety and human trafficking and how to look for signs in your children and on their online activities.
Dr. Kevin Skinner, a leading clinical psychologist, with the Cook Center for Human Connections will discuss topics related to mental health through virtual interaction. Participants will be able to ask questions anonymously through an app on their devices, and learn about free resources that are available.
Children are welcome to attend the sessions or sitters available for grades K-6.
