
The Mountain Home High School volleyball team had another successful conference outing by beating Alma in straight sets on Tuesday. The Lady Bombers posted scores of 25-12, 25-19 and 25-22. Carson Schmitz led Mountain Home with 12 kills and 11 assists; Lauren Wehmeyer had nine kills and five blocks; Lindsay Jensen recorded seven kills, five aces and 21 assists; Anna McCarn added six kills; Addison Martz finished with 11 digs; and Ali Czanstkowski ended up with seven digs.
Mountain Home also took the varsity match in three sets after topping Alma 25-23, 23-25 and 15-6. The J.V. Lady Bombers were led by McCarn with 14 kills and four blocks; Micayla Magis had five kills; and Czanstkowski chipped in five kills, three blocks and 23 assists.
Mountain Home Christian Academy lost a pair of matches at Flippin.
The Lady Eagles fell in straight sets in the high school match after the Lady Bobcats posted scores of 25-10, 25-17 and 25-21. Caroline Robinson led Mountain Home Christian with six kills and three digs, Kenna Riley had five kills and four blocks, Carolyn Rogers added three kills and nine blocks, and Maddy Simmons dished out 16 assists.
Mountain Home Christian’s junior high squad also lost to Flippin in straight sets with scores of 25-14 and 25-20.
Cotter split a pair of volleyball matches with Yellville-Summit.
The Lady Warriors lost the high school match in straight sets after the Lady Panthers posted scores of 25-16, 25-16 and 25-18. Cotter was led by Morgan Zick with six kills, two aces and four digs; and Adalyn Clonts added 10 digs. The Lady Warriors drop to 1-11 on the season.
Cotter fared better in the junior high match as they posted a three-set victory over Yellville-Summith with scores of 17-25, 25-23 and 15-12. Kenna Collins finished with seven kills for the Junior Lady Warriors, Reagan Cowart had nine digs, and Riley Brotherton had six aces and 13 digs. Cotter improves to 10-4 on the year.
