Many fans waited in bumper-to-bumper traffic before the Garth Brooks concert at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena last weekend before they decided to turn around an go home.

According to KOLR/KRBK, many spent hours waiting in line to catch the shuttle from the parking lot to the venue.

Michelle Boucher from Kansas City says “we left around noon and got in to the Branson area around 4. It was 9 and we were still in line at the fruit farm lot to catch a shuttle. People were actually coming back from the venue on shuttles already and they were telling us that it took them an hour to get to the fruit farm parking lot to the venue.” Boucher continued to say they had two busses running that line back and forth, which only held 54 people.

Since Friday, Boucher has spent hours calling Ticketmaster trying to get some sort of refund. She says she has tried several times and keeps hearing that the venue has to okay the refunds to start happening. As for Big Cedar, Boucher said one of the operators took down her name, number, and email. So far, the only refund she has received is for parking.

Boucher said she contacted her bank Monday and told them the situation and the information she had received from Ticketmaster. On Thursday, she received a refund for parking.

Another customer who had tickets but did not attend due to parking contacted Ticketmaster, and said after hearing about Friday night’s troubles they were likely to get a refund. The customer also said Ticketmaster has received a high number of refund requests.

Some fans said they’ve had some luck with getting a credit for their tickets. One fan said she worked with Seat Geek and they instantly provided her a promo code for her tickets. She also called Ticketmaster and Big Cedar several times to ask about parking and Ticketmaster told her she could not get a refund for her parking.

Some fans said after reading social media posts about Fridays nights traffic, they decided to not attend.

The customer service number for Ticketmaster is 800-653-8000.
