Three area boil water orders have been lifted, two remain in effect.
According to the Arkansas Department of Heath, the boil orders issued in Boone and Newton Counties for the Krooked Kreek Water Association have been lifted as of Thursday afternoon.
The orders were issued Dec. 29 for the entire Krooked Kreek system due to frozen lines preventing the tank from filling.
A boil order issued for Bergman Waterworks in Boone County has also been lifted. That order was issued Dec. 27 due to power failure for the area of Hawkeye Lane and everything north in the system.
A boil order remains in effect for Big Flat Waterworks in Baxter County. The order was issued Dec. 27 for the entire system due to an inadequate disinfectant level.
A boil water order also remains in effect for Fish and Fiddle Resort in Baxter County. The order was issued October 26 due to inadequate disinfectant levels for the entire system.
All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
