
Cotter was able to win a pair of boys’ basketball games at Haas Hall-Rogers on Friday.
The Warriors took the senior high game over the Danes 68-57. Hudson Adams was Cotter’s top scorer with 27 points, Payton McGee scored 20, and David Roger finished with 12.
Cotter also won the junior boys’ game over Haas Hall-Rogers 47-27. Cole Tilton paced the Junior Warriors with 10 points.
Flippin split a pair of high school games at West Fork. The Lady Bobcats dominated the Lady Tigers 77-48. Flippin’s boys were not as fortunate as they fell to West Fork 70-53.
Yellville-Summit High School ended up with mixed results at Greenland. The Lady Panthers topped the Lady Pirates 55-46. Yellville-Summit did not fare as well in the boys’ contest as they lost to Greenland 54-49.
The Calico Rock High School teams were swept by West Side at Greers Ferry. The Lady Pirates fell to the Lady Eagles 66-43. The night wasn’t any better for Calico Rock’s boys as they lost to West Side 75-39.
Gainesville’s boys had a short but successful road trip. The Bulldogs picked up a 76-58 victory at Dora.
The Ozark Mountain girls came up just short on their home floor in Western Grove. The Lady Bears were edged out by Life Way Christian 42-39.
Izard County was swept in three games at home by Marshall. The Lady Cougars fell to the Lady Bobcats 59-53 in the senior girls’ game. Izard County also lost the senior boys’ contest to Marshall 63-32. The evening began with Izard County’s junior girls getting toppled by Marshall 29-21.
The Melbourne High School teams were able to sweep Mountain View on homecoming night. The Lady Bearkatz topped the Lady Yellowjackets 55-49. Melbourne squeaked by Mountain View 48-45 in the boys’ contest.
Lead Hill had one win in three games at Alpena.
The Tigers lost the senior boys’ game to the Leopards 65-60. Lead Hill was led by Mason Cain with 24 points, Jayce Williams ended up with 12 points, and Kaden Baker had 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Lead Hill’s night wasn’t any better in the senior girls’ contest. The Lady Tigers fell to Alpena 63-33.
Lead Hill’s lone victory was in the junior boys’ game as they topped Alpena 30-20. Brett Arnold was the Junior Tigers’ leading scorer with 11 points.
Bergman was able to sweep its high school games over Valley Springs. The Lady Panthers got past the Lady Tigers 76-74. Bergman’s boys wrapped up the night with an 86-55 victory over Valley Springs.
Jasper was able to dominate its high school games at Oark. The Lady Pirates invoked the mercy rule after pounding the Lady Hornets 72-23. Jasper also breezed past Oark 71-44 in the boys’ contest.
The Mountain Home Ten-10 homeschool boys’ basketball teams went across the state line and grabbed a pair of easy wins over Mountain Grove Christian Academy.
The Titans pounded the Eagles 83-39 in the varsity game. Gabe Spray led Ten-10 with 19 points, Kaden Allen and Gideon Spray each scored 16, and Owen Cwenar added 12.
Ten-10 also routed Mountain Grove Christian 59-15 in the junior high contest. The Junior Titans were led by Beneiah Spray with 23 points, and Jonah Harrelson chipped in 13.
