Norfork girls win Ron Booy Memorial Tournament, boys finish 2nd

The Norfork High School bowling teams hosted the Ron Booy Memorial Tournament Friday at Driftwood Lanes in Mountain Home.

The Lady Panthers came away with the win on the girls’ side with 2,018 pins, beating out Southside Batesville by 121 pins. Concord finished third, and Izard County was fourth.

Norfork also had the three medalists. Ericca Payne picked up the win with a 314 series, Kasey Moody ended up second with a 312 series, and Jordan Rasmussen took third place with a 308 series.

Norfork finished as the runners-up on the boys’ side. The Panthers’ total was 2,350, which was 101 pins behind Southside. Concord was third, and Izard County ended up fourth.

Norfork had the top individual bowler among the boys. Ike Barrow was able to roll a 380 series.

Norfork will return to Driftwood Lanes on Monday to host Izard County.
