The recognition continues to roll in for a member of the Mountain Home High School football team. Online publication Whole Hog Sports features an in-state prospect who could be flying under the radar of college coaches every Wednesday, and Bomber junior defensive end/linebacker Robert Dover is this week’s athlete.

Dover was recently selected as a member of the All-Arkansas Preps first team by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s sports staff with assistance from the state’s high school coaches. He was also announced as an All-Conference player in the 6A-West after finishing this past season with 114 tackles, including 24 for loss and 14 sacks.

According to Arkansas Democrat-Gazette recruiting reporter Richard Davenport, Dover is receiving interest from colleges and universities in NCAA Division II. Mountain Home head coach Steve Ary told Whole Hog Sports, “He’s probably a 4.70 electronic (40 yard dash). He’s strong for never really lifting weights. He’s a three sport-athlete. He was an All State discus thrower last year. He was All State in the decathlon as a sophomore. He was in the top 10. He’s just an athlete. He doesn’t have a lot of time for the weight room but he’s still the strongest guy on the team. He probably gets a third of the weight room that everybody (else gets).”

In addition to football and track, Dover is a member of the Bomber boys’ basketball team.
