The Mountain Home High School girls’ wrestling team went down to Sherwood on Saturday for the Class 5A State Duals. The Lady Bombers ended up finishing fourth at Sylvan Hills High School.
Mountain Home began the day by defeating Russellville 48-18. The Lady Bombers had individual wins from Kylie Alford, Alyssa Cline, Jocelyn Bryant, Leigha Gatewood, Nevaeh Bragg, Katie Lowe, Allyson Eubanks and Lillian Wood.
Mountain Home did not fare as well in the semifinals as they fell to Sylvan Hills 54-28. Alford, Bryant, Gatewood, LaShay Moffitt and Bragg came away with the individual victories.
The Lady Bombers bounced back in the back of the bracket by topping Hot Springs Lakeside 54-12. The individual wins came from Alford, Cline, Bryant, Brianna Balsano, Gatewood, Bragg, Katie Lowe, Eubanks and Wood.
Mountain Home wrapped up the day by falling to Van Buren 42-24 in the third place match. The Lady Bombers’ individual wins were from Bryant, Gatewood, Moffitt and Bragg.
Both Mountain Home teams will host West Plains at the Hangar on Tuesday for Senior Night.
