A boil water order has been issued for the Mountain View Waterworks system in Stone County.
According to the Arkansas Department of Health, the order was issued Thursday due to a water line break. The order affects the area of the Highway 66 Happy Hollow Road.
All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use.
All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
The boil water order for the East Newton County Water Association has been lifted. The order was issued Jan. 30 due to a main break.
