Friday basketball results include Ten-10 homeschool teams advancing to state title games

Both of Mountain Home’s Ten-10 boys’ teams have advance to the championship games of the Arkansas Homeschool State Tournament.
The Titans beat Eagle Heights 71-53 in boys’ action. Gabe Spray led Ten-10 with 21 points, and Owen Cwenar added 18.
Ten-10’s junior varsity squad advanced to the title game with a 68-57 win over Faulkner. Spray had 26 points, and Kaden Allen provided 15.

The Cotter High School basketball teams had mixed results Friday against Lead Hill.
The Lady Warriors squeaked by the Lady Tigers 43-40. Kylee Chastain was Cotter’s top scorer with 13 points. Lauryn Moon and Preslie Lemon ended up with 11 points each.
Cotter was not as fortunate in the boys’ game as they fell to Lead Hill 54-45. Hudson Adams led the Warriors with 14 points. Jayce Williams scored 16 points for the Tigers, Kaden Baker had 15, and Quintin Sewell added 10.

Flippin’s boys had a rough outing to end their regular season. The Bobcats lost to the Panthers by a final of 79-52.

The Viola girls were able to wrap up their regular season on a good note. The Lady Longhorns went to Lynn and beat Hillcrest 42-37.

Ozark Mountain split its high school games with Jasper. The Lady Bears topped the Lady Pirates 65-60. Ozark Mountain’s boys were edged out by Jasper 59-56.

The Mammoth Spring girls were able to get past Riverside 49-46 at Lake City. The Lady Bears were led by Adrianna Corbett with 26 points and 12 rebounds, and Brynn Washam chipped in 11.

Mammoth Spring’s boys went to Greers Ferry and lost to West Side 78-69. Gavin Boddie was the Bears’ leading scorer with 19 points, Blake Rogers scored 18, and Nathaneal Rogers and Garet O’Dell had 10 each.

Melbourne pulled off an easy sweep over Hoxie. The Lady Bearkatz invoked the mercy rule as they routed the Lady Mustangs 49-19. Melbourne later won the boys’ game 70-44.
