
The Mountain Home High School swim teams finished second in the 5A-West Conference Meet Thursday at the Clarksville Aquatic Center. The Bombers and Lady Bombers both finished behind Russellville.
For Mountain Home’s boys, Caleb Due set a new school record of 58.10 in his win of the 100-yard backstroke, and he also won the 100-yard freestyle. Izaiah McKee was second in the individual medley, Brandon Belicek and Ajay Reiss ended up second and third respectively in the 50-yard and 500-yard freestyles, and Hayden Kelley took third place in the breaststroke. The Bombers also had a team win the 200-yard medley relay.
Peeka Traver led the Mountain Home girls by winning the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke. Ayla Horn finished second in the 100-yard butterfly, Maggie Thompson was second in the 500-yard freestyle, and Kendra McLean ended up second in the 200-yard individual medley and third in the 100-yard breaststroke. The Lady Bombers also medaled in all three of their relays.
Mountain Home will compete in the Class 5A State Meet near the end of the month.
