MH girls’ wrestling team finishes 2nd in regional tourney

In the first season of the Arkansas Activities Association holding regional tournaments for high school wrestling, Mountain Home’s girls were able to take home a trophy and send 10 of their 13 competitors on to the state tournament. The Lady Bombers finished second in the Class 5A North Regional Tournament.

Mountain Home secured individual regional championships from Kylie Alford in the 110-pound division, Amelia Frounfelter in the 155 and Lillian Wood in the heavyweight division. In addition, Mackenzi Clark finished second in the 100, Emalyn Stephens was second in the 120, Jocelyn Bryant ended up third in the 125, Olivia McCoy took third place in the 135, Leigha Gatewood finished fourth in the 140, Nevaeh Bragg was fourth in the 170, and Katie Lowe ended up fourth in the 190.
