Heavy rains are in store overnight for the Twin Lakes area with some areas possibly seeing up to 6 inches of rainfall according to the National Weather Service in North Little Rock.
Meteorologists state there is a remote possibility for strong to severe thunderstorms after 11 tonight, with the main threat still being heavy rains. The storms are expected to clear out of the area by Friday morning.
Strong winds will also be a factor on Friday because of the strength of the system with winds shifting to the north at 15-20 mph, and possible gusts up to 40mph. Friday night the winds will calm down and the area should see lows in the 30’s.
Stay tuned to KTLO, Classic Hits, and The Boot for continuing severe weather coverage. If severe weather does impact the area, we will have live coverage in the overnight hours.
