The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is notifying the public of a level 4 sex offender, someone who is considered a sexually dangerous person, has moved to Henderson.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says 70-year-old Ronald Hobbs has moved to 68 Boxwood Lane. He previously registered with the Mountain Home Police Department and has now moved to rural Baxter County.

Montgomery states available documentation indicates Hobbs was convicted in the State of California in March 2004 for use and possession of obscene materials involving underage minors where he was secretly recording nude minors in a school locker room. No other specifics of the case are currently available.

Hobbs is not wanted by law enforcement at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is the sheriff’s belief an informed public is a safer public. This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders. Citizen abuse will not be tolerated. Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement’s ability to provide community notification.
