After Friday’s game was canceled, the Mountain Home High School baseball team will try again to open its season. The Bombers are set to welcome Paragould to McClain Park. The varsity game at Pitts Field is scheduled for 4 followed by the junior varsity contest.
Elsewhere on the high school level, Cotter hosts Lead Hill, Yellville-Summit travels to Salem, Calico Rock makes the trip to Mammoth Spring, Melbourne heads to Heber Springs, and Mountain View travels to Clinton.
In junior high baseball, Flippin makes the trip to Brockwell to face Izard County
The Mountain Home High School softball team will also begin its season on Monday. The Lady Bombers will start the campaign on the road as they meet Southside Batesville.
Mountain Home is coming off a season in which they finished with a record of 12-14. The Lady Bombers wrapped up the previous year with a first round loss to Benton in the Class 5A State Tournament.
The varsity game starts at 4, and the J.V. and junior high contests will follow.
In other high softball, Cotter heads to Omaha, Flippin travels to Green Forest, Yellville-Summit makes the trip to Salem, Viola heads to Cave City, Mountain View travels to Pleasant Plains to play Midland, and Valley Springs entertains Huntsville.
