Human remains of Harrison woman found in Springfield identified

Human remains discovered in a wooden area in Springfield were identified Monday afternoon.

According to the Greene County Medical Examiners’ Office, the deceased, identified as 40-year-old Susan N. McInturff of Harrison, was found by a maintenance worker north the Rivendale Institute of Learning on Feb. 13. The Springfield Police Department’s Homicide Unit investigated the incident and determined nothing was suspicious regarding McInturff’s death.

McInturff’s family has been notified.
