Last Thursday, the Baxter County Airport Commission met for their regular monthly meeting.In a report provided by the Commission, plans were considered to increase the airport security program. Engineers who are working on the runway expansion project were on site to update the progress and reported the plans are moving forward briskly.
In other business a proposal for a grass strip was presented and approved unanimously. Officers for the new year were elected with Stephen Vester serving as chair, Paul Gagras as vice-chair and Sally Hall serving as secretary.
In old business, the commission discussed the status of several projects going out for bids and the proposed Rules and Regulations will be brought before the commission in the next meeting.
