Arkansas, Missouri, Little Rock play WNIT openers Thursday

The first round of the Women’s National Invitational Tournament (WNIT) continues Thursday, and Arkansas, Missouri and Little Rock will be in action.

Arkansas will have home court advantage in their opener as they go up against Louisiana Tech. The Razorbacks are 21-12 after losing to South Carolina in the SEC Women’s Tournament quarterfinals. Tip-off at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville is scheduled for 7, and Thursday’s game can be seen online on SEC Network Plus.

Mizzou will also be in front of its home crowd as the first round matchup is with Illinois State. The Tigers are 17-13 on the year, and their last game was two weeks ago when they lost to Arkansas in the second round of the SEC Tournament. Gametime at Mizzou Arena in Columbia is set for 7, and Thursday’s game will be broadcast online on SEC Network Plus.

Little Rock’s first game in the WNIT will be in Dallas, and their opening opponent will be SMU. The Trojans, currently 21-10 on the season, missed the NCAA Tournament after getting upset by Tennessee Tech in the championship game of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. Tip-off at Moody Coliseum is slated for 7, and Thursday’s game can be seen online on ESPN3.
