The names of two Missouri men involved in a fatal boating accident Thursday on the White River have been released. According to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, 72-year-old John Mauretto of Dardenne Prairie drowned, and 71-year-old David Guckes of Labadie was rescued by a nearby fisherman.

According to Game and Fish, the incident occurred around 12:30 Thursday afternoon. Mauretto and Guckes were reportedly fishing in the Ranchette area when their outboard ran out of fuel. While attempting to restart their motor, the vessel collided with a boat dock and capsized, and both occupants were swept out of their boat.

A Game and Fish spokesperson says alcohol was not a factor.
