The National Honor Society recently recognized a local high school student. Flippin senior and society member Julieta Roberts has been selected as a semifinalist for the NHS Scholarship.
In the Flippin High School homecoming feedback survey, Roberts’ peers, fellow NHS members and teachers specifically mentioned her for her leadership, dedication and rapport with people of all ages. According to a press release from the school district, Roberts has been an integral part of Flippin Homecoming for four years has worked at blood drives four times a year, has cooked for bake sales and has worked as a server at the Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast. She plans to attend the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville this fall to study international business and architecture.
Since 1946, over $21 million in scholarships have been awarded to outstanding NHS senior members to support college access and student success. The scholarship program is supported by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the parent organization of the National Honor Society.
