
The Baxter County Board of Election Commissioners are seeking county residents interested in being poll workers for county elections.
According to the Arkansas Constitution, to be eligible to serve as a poll worker, they must be a qualified elector of the state; able to read and write English; be a resident of the precinct they will be serving; must not have been found guilty or pled guilty to the violation of any criminal law of the state; must not be a paid employee of any political party or of any person running for any office on the county’s ballot; cannot be a candidate for any office while serving; must not be married to or related within the second degree to any candidate running for office; must not be a spouse of a member of the county board of election commissioners; and must not be the chairman or spouse of a county political party.
