The Mountain Home High School baseball team began tournament play on a dominant note Thursday at Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock. The Bombers routed Woodlawn 13-2 behind a three-run home run by Masen Walker and a solo shot off the bat of Jacob Czanstkowski. Daniel Jones and Jett Hannaford each added two base hits.
The Forrest Wood Wood Bat Memorial Tournament got underway Thursday at Flippin. Cotter squeaked Viola 9-8, Norfork defeated Flippin 9-5, the host Bobcats also fell to Bakersfield 11-0, and Viola was edged out by Green Forest 4-3.
