The U.S. Forest Service has prescribed a burn for an area portion the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests. National forest fire managers will conduct a local burn in Searcy and Newton counties on Monday.
The prescribed burn will be in the vicinity of Witts Springs. According to the Forest Service, 4,690 acres will be burned in the Big Piney Ranger District.
