Monday results include MHHS baseball team beating Marshfield

The Mountain Home High School baseball team had a good day as they hosted Marshfield, Missouri, in a late-scheduled game on Monday. The Bombers were able to triple up the Blue Jays 9-3.

In other baseball action, Marshall defeated Lead Hill 11-1, and Harrison fell to Batesville 9-1.

Mountain Home’s junior varsity softball team was able to sweep a doubleheader at Cotter.
The J.V. Lady Bombers began the outing with an 11-4 win in the opener. Allison Payne picked up the victory in the circle. Offensively, Daelyn Harper was 2-for-4, Amelia Mason went 1-for-3 and drove in two runs, Carly Hardin was 1-for-4 with two RBIs, Libby Dewey went 1-for-4 and drove in a run, Laken Anderson was 1-for-3 with a walk, and Karleigh Drewry went 1-for-4.
Mountain Home finished the evening by getting past Cotter 5-4. Emma King was the winning pitcher with seven strikeouts, and she led the J.V. Lady Bomber offense by going 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Dewey went 3-for-3, Harper was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Carly Pittman went 2-for-3.

On the varsity level, Flippin was swept in a doubleheader by Lincoln. The Lady Bobcats fell to the Lady Wolves 14-0 and 10-2.

Rural Special lost its doubleheader to Concord. The Lady Rebels lost to the Lady Pirates 16-0 and 20-2.

Bergman fell in a doubleheader to Green Forest. The Lady Panthers fell to the Lady Tigers 24-11 and 18-1.

Elsewhere, Salem squeaked by Tuckerman 8-7, Melbourne doubled up Newport 4-2.
