
Two area residents have been arrested for selling methamphetamine to confidential informants in separate incidents.
According to the probable cause affidavits, the Arkansas State Police (ASP) partnered with the 14th Judicial Drug Task Force (DTF) for the purpose of making controlled purchases of methamphetamine. Each confidential informant was supplied with electronic monitoring equipment and money to make the purchases.
In August 2021, the ASP supplied a confidential informant with $220 to make a purchase from 37-year-old Kaleena Clifton of Marion and was sold 7.8 grams of methamphetamine. Two months later, the informant made a second transaction with Clifton where they were sold 13.6 grams of methamphetamine for $225. The second transaction occurred within 1,000 feet of a school.
Clifton is charged with multiple felony counts including a Class Y for delivery of methamphetamine, delivery of methamphetamine and distribution of a controlled substance hear certain facilities. She is currently being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on $50,000 bond. Clifton was previously arrested for multiple felony counts for similar charges in connection with four other individuals in late 2022.

In a separate incident, a confidential informant was supplied with $250 of buy money from the ASP to make a purchase from 55-year-old Joe Snyder of Mountain Home. Snyder sold the informant 19.1 grams of methamphetamine during the April 2022 transaction.
Snyder was released from the Baxter County Detention Center on $20,000 bond.
