At KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting station for the National Weather Service in Mountain Home, 2023 has the seventh wettest March at 8.81 inches. The wettest March on record was 15 years ago in 2008 with the total precipitation at 15.32 inches.
The Twin Lakes Area was also 3.78 inches above March’s average rainfall of 5.03 inches. For the first quarter of the year, the total precipitation is 18.4 inches. That is 6.81 inches above the quarter’s average rainfall of 11.59 inches.
March 3 set a new record for daily rainfall this year. The measurement of 2.77 inches broke the day’s previous mark of 1.6 inches in 1988.
March 7 was the only day of the month in which the high reached 80 degrees. The coldest temperature recorded last month was 20 degrees on March 20. The average high for March was 58.6 degrees, and the average low was 35.8
