A 24-year-old man charged with attacking another person with a beer bottle, lawn chair and his bare hands was declared a fugitive after missing an appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday.
Michael Jay Rose, who listed several addresses including one in Harrison, was arrested May 13 last year when police were called to a residence in Gassville to respond to a physical disturbance report.
According to the probable cause affidavit in Rose’s case, when a Gassville police officer arrived at an address along South School Street, he was told Rose had attacked a male in the driveway of the residence.
The officer was told Rose was alleged to have first hit the victim in the back of the head with a beer bottle, then a lawn chair and finally his bare hands.
The victim was examined on scene but refused transport to the hospital.
There was no information in the probable cause affidavit on what provoked the attack.
Rose was taken to the Baxter County Detention Center and booked on aggravated assault charges.
He has been free on bond.
