Improvements to Mo. Route 5 in Ozark Co. begins April 17

Starting April 17, crews will begin work to improve Missouri Route 5 in Ozark County.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the project will include replacing culverts, widening for rumble strips and resurface work from U.S. Route 160 in Gainesville to the Arkansas state line. Officials state motorists should anticipate a lane reduction with at 12-foot width restriction.

As construction is underway, flaggers will be presented and traffic will be guided through the work zone by a pilot car. The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to used extreme caution while traveling near the area.
