MHHS boys finish 3rd, girls end up 6th at Zizzer Relays

Mountain Home was among a few area high school track teams competing in the Zizzer Relays at West Plains on Thursday.

The Bombers finished third on the boys’ side as the win went to Waynesville. West Plains was second, Dora took eighth place, and Gainesville and Ava ended up tied for 11th.

Individually for Mountain Home, Brady Barnett won the long jump, Michael Davis won the pole vault, Ky Bickford won the 1600-meter run, Adam Jones finished second in the pole vault, William Hill was second in the 800-meter run, Robert Dover ended up second in the discus and fourth in the javelin, Levi Uchtman took third place in the high jump, Zach Daugherty finished third in the pole vault, Hendrix Hughes was third in the 1600-meter run, Caden Triantos ended up third in the 3200-meter run, Eli Jones took fourth place in the discus, and Ty Lawrence finished fifth in the 800-meter run. The Bombers also had teams finish second in the 4×400-meter relay and fifth in the 4000-meter distance medley relay.

Other wins on the boys’ side came from Cade Nold of Dora in the 400-meter dash, Jaxon Hunter of West Plains in the javelin, Lincoln Miller of West Plains in the 100-meter dash, Blake Tinsley of West Plains in the 200-meter dash, and Carson King of West Plains in the 3200-meter run. West Plains also had a team win the 4000-meter distance medley relay.

Mountain Home was sixth in the girls’ team standings with the win going to Ozark. West Plains ended up second, Dora ended up in a tie for 12th, and Ava took 16th place.

For the Lady Bombers, Ali Czanstkowski won the triple jump and finished third in the high jump, Bailey Ritenburg was second in the 800-meter run, Jordan Cruse ended up third in the discus, Rachel Chamberlin took fourth place in the long jump, Merritt McConnell finished fourth in the triple jump, and Erika Krueger was fourth in the 1600-meter run.

Other victories on the girls’ side came from Autumn Nold of Dora in the 800-meter run and Audrey Oliver of West Plains in the 300-meter hurdles. West Plains also had teams at the top of the 4×100-meter relay, the 4×200-meter relay, the 4×400-meter relay and the 4000-meter distance medley relay.
