
The St. Louis Cardinals are set to start a 10-game road trip on Friday. The trip begins in Seattle with the Redbirds’ second interleague series of the year against the Mariners.
St. Louis is currently in fourth place in the National League Central Division with a record of 8-11. So far, the Cardinals are 0-6 in series openers.
Seattle is also 8-11 on the season and in fourth place in the American League West. The Mariners have lost three straight after getting swept by Milwaukee.
Steven Matz will be the starting pitcher for St. Louis, and Seattle will go with George Kirby. The first pitch at T-Mobile Park is scheduled for 9:10. Friday night’s game can be heard on KTLO-AM. The broadcast begins at 8:15 with Ameren Total Access.
