The Norfork High School Quiz Bowl Team will be playing for another Class 1A state championship Saturday afternoon in Conway. Quiz Bowl is the annual Arkansas Governor’s Academic Competition for high school students to show their intellect in a number of categories.
Norfork has had great success recently, winning the state title three times in the last seven years and finishing in the top three each year. Their state championships came in 2016, 2017 and 2019.
The Panthers won the regional championship at Calico Rock last month by winning all six matches. At the state tournament at Morrilton, Norfork won all of their matches to make it to the finals. Their overall record is 28-11 with all of their losses coming against class 3A schools or larger.
