
Lead Hill and Omaha sent their high school track and field teams to Harrison on Monday for the 1A-1 East Conference Meet.
The Eagles won the boys’ side, and the Tigers finished third.
Individually for Lead Hill, Coda Lemon was second in the 400-meter dash, Bryston Armer ended up third in the shot put, and Hunter Ricketts took third place in the 200-meter dash. The team of Lemon, Ricketts, Jayce Williams and Zane Breger finished second in the 4×100-meter relay; and William Grozis, Nolan Turner, Lemon and Breger were third in the 4×800-meter relay.
For Omaha’s boys, Trenton Blair won the long jump and the 100-meter dash, Dylan Greenwood won the 400-meter dash and ended up second in the high jump, Jonathan McKinney won the pole vault and took second place in the 110-meter hurdles and the 200-meter dash, Trey Searle won the triple jump and finished second in the long jump, Noah Morrison won the discus and was second in the shot put, Kurtis Arnold won the shot put and ended up third in the discus, Briar Whitehurst won the 200-meter dash and took third place in the triple jump, Jacob Oliver finished second in the discus, Jayden Childers was second in the pole vault, and Samuel Edwards ended up third in the high jump and the 110-meter hurdles. The team of Blair, Greenwood, McKinney and Kaleb Carlton won the 4×400-meter relay; Searle, McKinney, Greenwood and Carlton won the 4×200-meter relay; Whitehurst, Edwards, Carlton and Blair won the 4×100-meter relay; and Chase and Brody Curtis, Gatlin Edwards and Edden Moon took second place in the 4×800-meter relay.
Omaha finished second in the girls’ results, and Lead Hill was third. The victory was captured by Kingston.
For the Lady Tigers, Abby Gray won the discus; and the team of Morgan Breger, Bella Huebner, Emma McPherson and Kyndall Bray ended up third in the 4×800-meter relay.
For Omaha, Jalen Burleson won the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes and took second place in the long jump, Maddy Pyshny won the pole vault and finished third in the 1600-meter run, Remington Crouch was second in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles and the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes and third in the high jump, Tristan Kimberlin ended up second in the pole vault, Shelby Whitehurst took third place in the long jump and the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, Drew McKinney finished third in the triple jump, Taylor Evans was third in the discus, Anastasia Johnson ended up third in the pole vault, and Topanga Rodriguez took third place in the 800-meter run. The team of Burleson, Kimberlin, Rodriguez and Whitehurst won the 4×100-meter relay; Pyshny, McKinney, Aniaya Gabriel and Rodriguez finished second in the 4×800-meter relay; and Burleson, Kimberlin, Whitehurst and Gabriel were second in the 4×200-meter relay.
