
Several high school track and field athletes gathered at Bomber Stadium in Mountain Home on Monday for the 1A-2 Conference Meet.
Norfork captured the boys’ title. Timbo finished second, and Rural Special was fifth.
For the Panthers, Ike Barrow won the triple jump, the pole vault and the 200-meter dash and ended up second in the high jump and the long jump and third in the 100-meter dash; Charlie Weeks won the long jump and the 100-meter dash; Korbin Blanchard won the 110-meter hurdles and took second place in the 100-meter dash; Noah Shaw won the 300-meter hurdles and finished third in the 110-meter hurdles; Cory Jines was second in the 110-meter hurdles and the 400-meter dash; Carson Beavers ended up second in the 300-meter hurdles; Jackson Davis took second place in the 800-meter run; and Izac Bitting finished third in the 200-meter dash. The team of Jines, Bitting, Rufus Hammerman and Weeks won the 4×400-meter relay; Blanchard, Beavers, Jines and Weeks won the 4×100-meter relay; and Hammerman, Corbin Stover, Kyler Rand and Beavers were second in the 4×200-meter relay.
Other wins came from Braden Avey of Timbo in the shot put; Jacob Morris of Rural Special in the 800-meter, 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs; and Timbo’s Dalton Shellstrom, Jaxon Wilkins, Jeremiah Holley and Brayden Watts in the 4×800-meter relay.
Norfork ended up second in the girls’ team standings. The championship was won by Rural Special, and Timbo took fifth place.
For the Lady Panthers, Keely Blanchard won the high jump and the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes; Grayson Havner won the 100-meter hurdles and finished second in the long jump, the triple jump and the pole vault and third in the high jump; Ericca Payne won the pole vault and was third in the triple jump; Arinne Woody ended up second in the discus; Jordan Rasmussen took third place in the 1600-meter run; and Marlee Shields finished third in the 400-meter dash. The team of Cassie and Madison Duffy, Peyton Schaffner and Rasmussen was third in the 4×800-meter relay; Raelyn White, Madison and Cassie Duffy and Rasmussen ended up third in the 4×400-meter relay; and Blanchard, Shields, Emma Richard and Payne took third place in the 4×200-meter relay.
Other victories came from Mallory Mosley of Timbo in the 300-meter hurdles; Rayleigh Turner of Rural Special in the long jump, the triple jump and the 100-meter dash; Rieley Sutterfield of Rural Special in the 800-meter and 1600-meter runs; Rural Special’s Kylan Stevens, Kendall Kocher, Emma Goins and Braylen Morgan in the 4×800-meter relay; and Aubrey Linville, Sutterfield, Goins and Morgan of Rural Special in the 4×400-meter and 4×100-meter relays.
