
The Mountain Home High School baseball and softball teams were able to sweep Alma on Senior Night to finish conference play.
On the baseball diamond, the Bombers got past the Airedales 10-9. Mountain Home was down two in the seventh inning, but they scored three runs and finished the game on a walk-off single by Masen Walker.
The Bombers later beat Alma 12-8 in the nightcap. Mountain Home used a 10-run fourth inning to get the victory.
The Bombers will travel to Hot Springs on Thursday to meet Lakeside.
Mountain Home’s softball team blanked Alma 15-0 in the opener of their doubleheader. Mallorie Drewry led the Lady Bombers by going 2-for-2 with a walk and three RBIs; Daelyn Harper went 2-for-2, drew a walk and drove in two runs; Olivia Crabb was 2-for-4 with two RBIs; Katie Camp went 1-for-1, drew three bases on balls and was hit by a pitch; Laken Anderson was 1-for-1 with two walks; and Emma Crabb and Karleigh Drewry each went 1-for-2 with a walk.
Mountain Home also took the late game over Alma 18-6. Anderson led the way by going 2-for-3 with a walk and four RBIs; Emma Crabb went 2-for-3, drew a walk and drove in three runs; Mallorie Drewry was 2-for-4 with a walk and three RBIs; Kiley Horne went 2-for-4 and drove in two runs; Camp was 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI; Olivia Crabb went 1-for-3, drew a walk and drove in two runs; Amelia Mason was 1-for-3 with an RBI; and Harper went 1-for-3.
The Lady Bombers wrap up the regular season at 15-10 overall and 8-6 in the 5A-West.
