Tuesday election results include Ferretti winning Norfork SB race

A number of elections took place in the Twin Lakes Area Tuesday night.

In Norfork, Stacy Ferretti defeated Jon Casey for position 5 on the school board. Ferretti saw a total of 230 votes compared to Casey’s 75. According to Baxter County and Circuit Clerk Canda Reese, a millage may be placed on the ballot even though an increase is not being asked for. Norfork saw a 37.39 millage on the ballot with 131 voters for the tax and 62 against.

Viola saw a race between Fabra Rowden and Chris Waltrip for school board position 3. Rowden won the position with 155 votes, while Waltrip received 117. Viola had a 40.62 millage on the ballot and saw 126 voters for the millage and 132 against.

In Cotter, both candidates, incumbent Cameron Ross and incumbent Russell Duggins, ran unopposed for their positions on the school board. Ross came away with 11 votes and Duggins saw 8. Twenty-three voters voted against the 32.67 millage on Cotter’s ballot and 10 voted for proposal.

In Calico Rock, only 1 vote was cast during the election. The vote was against the 42.30 millage on the ballot.

In Mountain View, 2 votes were cast. One vote being for the 35.91 millage on the ballot and the other against.

Tuesday’s election results are unofficial until they are certified by the Election Commission.
