Baseball, softball and soccer make up the local Saturday schedule as state tournaments continue in Arkansas.
The Viola High School baseball team will compete in the quarterfinals of the Class 1A State Tournament at Taylor. The Longhorns meet Ozark Catholic at 12:30.
District play begins for high school baseball in Missouri, and two area teams will square off in the Class 4, District 10 Tournament at Logan-Rogersville High School. Hollister faces Ava at 11.
Two area softball teams will be in Taylor for the quarterfinals of the Class 1A State Tournament. Calico Rock gets underway against Bradley at 12:30, and Viola takes on the host Lady Tigers at 3.
The Harrison girls’ soccer team is one win away from returning to the state championship match. The Lady Goblins will be at Valley View High School in Jonesboro to play the host Lady Blazers in the semifinals of the Class 5A State Tournament at 2.
