The Ava High School softball team begins its two-day run in Springfield on Monday as they look for a state title. The Lady Bears will compete in the semifinals of the Class 2 State Tournament.
Ava entered the tournament as the champions of District 4. The Lady Bears are currently 19-6 after beginning the state tournament Wednesday with a quarterfinal win at Houston.
The first pitch at the Killian Softball Complex is scheduled for 1:15.
