According to the Northeast Public Water Authority (NPWA), customers in the area of Baypoint Drive and all side roads near Mallard Point Road will be without water and gas until later Thursday evening.Earlier today a contractor hit a gas line causing damage to a nearby water line. Estimated restoration time for gas services is approximately three hours. Once those repairs have been completed, restoration to the water lines can begin. Gerry Lance with NPWA states it could be later this evening until customers have water restored.
All customers in the area are instructed to boil water order until further notice.
Customers affected were notified through an automatic call from the NPWA.
