MacLeod picks up 2-game sweep at Midland

The Mountain Home MacLeod American Legion baseball team had a successful trip to Pleasant Plains on Monday. MacLeod was able to pull off a sweep over Midland.

Mountain Home dominated the first game 10-2. Isaiah Wood picked up the win on the mound with six innings, five strikeouts, five hits, two walks and two earned runs. Jordan Corbett led the MacLeod offense by going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs; Wade Miller was 2-for-4 with two RBIs; and Maddox Carney went 2-for-4, scored a run and drove in another.

Mountain Home doubled up Midland 16-8 in the late game. Cory Jines was the winning pitcher with 1 2/3 relief innings, two strikeouts, two hits, a walk and an earned run. Noah Dickerson was 3-for-3 at the plate with a walk, two runs and an RBI; and Carney went 1-for-2, drew a walk, scored two runs and drove in three more.
