
The Mountain Home Alley-White American Legion baseball team was able to bounce back on Wednesday and sweep Batesville.
Alley-White invoked the mercy rule in the fifth inning of the opener as they routed Batesville 12-2. Ethen Carter picked up the win on the mound. Will Morris led the Mountain Home offense by going 2-for-2 and scoring two runs, and Garrett Templeman was 2-for-3 with two runs.
Alley-White shut out Batesville 13-0 in the late game. Cole Tilton provided a triple and scored two runs for Mountain Home.
Alley-White improves to 8-12 on the season, and they’ll travel to play Southside Batesville on Friday.
