
A plane crash Friday morning in Taney County resulted in minor injuries to one of its two occupants. According to KYTV/KSPR, the pilot was treated for the injuries at an undisclosed location. The passenger was not injured.
Officials from the Central Taney County Fire Protection District, who assisted the Cedarcreek Volunteer Fire Department, say crews responded to private property around 10:15 and found an Ultralight Experimental Aircraft in a field with two individuals walking around it. Crews from the Cedarcreek and Central Taney County fire departments pulled the pilot and passenger from the wreckage.
The sheriff’s office says the plane crashed due to engine failure.
