Cardinals host Astros to begin interleague home stand

The Cardinals return to St. Louis following their trip to London with a six-game interleague home stand. The Redbirds will open a three-game series against the Houston Astros on Tuesday.

St. Louis is currently in last place in the National League Central Division with a record of 32-45. The Cardinals are coming off a split of a two-game series with the Cubs at London Stadium, and they trail Milwaukee by 8 1/2 games.

Houston is 42-36 on the season and currently tied for second in the American League West with the Los Angeles Angels. Both teams trail Texas by five games.

Framber Valdez will take the mound for the Astros. St. Louis hasn’t named a starter. The first pitch at Busch Stadium is scheduled for 6:45. Tuesday’s game can be heard on KTLO-AM. The broadcast begins at 5:50 with Ameren Total Access.
