A Harrison man has been arrested in connection with the death of a Bellefonte man.
According to Boone County Sheriff Roy Martin, an investigation was launched Monday afternoon into the shooting death of 63-year-old Dale Eugene McEntire, who was found shot in his home in Bellefonte. Authorities believe the incident occurred sometime the night before.
During the investigation, deputies gathered evidence which identified 28-year-old Donnie Calderwood, Jr. of Harrison, as the person responsible.
Martin stated he case was solved by a joint effort between his investigators, detectives for the Harrison Police Department and special agents with the Arkansas State Police.
Calderwood is currently being in the Boone County Detention Center for capital murder and aggravated residential burglary without bond.
