An Oakland woman suffered what was termed a “suspected serious injury” in a one-vehicle accident in northwestern Baxter County. Twenty-seven-year-old Hayley Paslay was transported by ambulance to Baxter Health.
According to a report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Paslay was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed on County Road 15 on June 24. She reportedly overcorrected, and the vehicle she was driving traveled across the road exited off the left side, struck the ditch, spun around and came to a rest after striking a fence.
Paslay was cited for driving while intoxicated (second offense) and careless and prohibited driving following the 2:21 p.m. accident. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
