
The Mountain Home Diamonds wrapped up pool play in the Fastpitch American Softball Association Class C 16-and-Under and 18-and-Under World Series with their second straight lopsided win. The Diamonds routed the Southern Illinois Vipers 11-1 Wednesday in Branson.
Mountain Home got the scoring started with an eight-run second inning, including a bases-clearing double from Kaelyn Gooch on a full-count pitch. Mallorie Drewry led the Diamond offense by going 2-for-3 with three RBIs.
