
The St. Louis Cardinals return from the All-Star break with a six-game home stand. The Redbirds will begin Friday with a three-game series against the Washington Nationals.
St. Louis is currently in last place in the National League Central Division with a record of 38-52, currently 11 1/2 games behind division leader Cincinnati. The Cardinals went into the All-Star break after taking two out of three games over the White Sox in Chicago.
With a mark of 36-54, Washington in last place in the National League East as they trail Atlanta by 24 1/2 games. The Nats most recently took two out of their three-game series with Texas.
Miles Mikolas will take the mound for St. Louis. Washington has yet to name a starter. The first pitch at Busch Stadium is scheduled for 7:15. Friday’s game can be heard on KTLO-AM. The broadcast begins at 6:20 with Ameren Total Access.
