Brad Schulz, Joey Sample, Kirk Brown and Geoffrey Smith were crowned the winners of the North Arkansas Fellowship of Christian Athletes Golf Tournament Monday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club. Schulz, Sample, Brown and Smith won the tiebreaker over Jonathan Murray, Coty Watson, Joel Hudson and Luke Jackson in the Championship Flight after both teams shot a 16-under-par 56.
A tiebreaker was also needed to decide third place after two teams ended up five strokes off the lead. Jeremy Dietsche, Ben Wilburn, Ben Milburn and Randy Lunceford of Equity Bank took the tiebreaker over Robin and Tim Myers, Mike Vawter and Lang Zimmerman.
The A Flight leaderboard ended up with three teams at the top with a nine-under-par 63. Brad Coleman, Wes Wood, Briana Edington and Mitch Huskey represented Coleman Family Dentistry to win the flight. Russell Borland, Kenny Deyoung, Royce Sweatman and Darius Yoder of Harrison FCA Huddle finished second; and James Stanofski, Rob Beasley and Trey Chiles were third.
Layton Lee and Scott Copeland took the B Flight for Arvest Bank with a five-under-par 67, and there was a tie for second after four teams ended up two strokes back. Ben Decker, Matt Green, Dalton Keith and Scott Spears of East Side Baptist Church won the tiebreaker; Clay and Heather Maxey and Dan and Christina Decker represented Clay Maxey Chevrolet for third place; Ed McGill, Stephen Yates, Mike Heslep and Jerry Jones of First Community Bank ended up fourth; and Tobias Pugsley, Anthony Reed, Barney Larry and Dell Leonard represented Baxter Health for fifth place.
